Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris is the former Hôtel Lutetia, which Mandarin Oriental began managing on 3 April 2025 as its second Paris hotel, alongside the one on Rue Saint-Honoré. The operator's release of 9 December 2024 had announced the option to sign it from early 2025, and the Akirov family owns the hotel.
It stands at 45 Boulevard Raspail in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and the operator calls it the only Palace hotel on the Left Bank. The Boucicaut family, owners of Le Bon Marché, founded it in 1910, and the hotel page credits the Art Nouveau and Art Deco design to Léon Binet and Paul Belmondo. Jean-Michel Wilmotte led a total restoration that ended with a reopening in May 2018.
The hotel page lists 184 rooms, 49 suites, eight Signature Suites and two penthouses, while the December 2024 release counts 184 rooms including 47 suites. The Signature Suites include one made with Isabelle Huppert, one with Francis Ford Coppola and one for Josephine Baker. Chef Patrick Charvet directs Brasserie Lutetia, and Bar Joséphine and Bar Aristide serve cocktails. The spa covers 700 square metres, with a 17-metre indoor pool, five individual treatment rooms and one double treatment room.
Paris Orly is about 30 minutes away by taxi or private transfer, and Charles de Gaulle about an hour.
“Today marks a significant milestone as Mandarin Oriental officially assumes management of the legendary Hôtel Lutetia, unveiling its new identity as Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris.”
The operator’s wording, read on its own page and last checked 1 November 2026.
