The Langham, Diriyah is due to open in 2028, according to a Langham Hospitality Group release first issued in December 2022 and updated on 20 July 2026. An April 2025 release from the group gave 2029, and a photo caption on the updated page still says 2029. The hotel will stand on the main boulevard of Diriyah, 15 minutes from downtown Riyadh and within five minutes' drive of the At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage site.

Christian de Portzamparc designed it in the Najdi style, with low-rise clustered forms, courtyards, stone-clad facades and mud-brick and local stone. The plan is for 200 rooms and suites, a Langham Club Lounge and an art gallery experience throughout the hotel.

Dining will include the first Middle Eastern outpost of T'ang Court, the group's three-Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant, and the first international outpost of Sauce, the cooking school of The Langham, London. The group also plans its signature afternoon tea and a Chuan Spa with men's and ladies' pool decks. The agreement with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority is a management agreement.

“The Langham, Diriyah, opening in 2028, will be an integral part of the development which is set to protect, preserve, and pay tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia”
