Opens 20 December 2026
The operator reports building work under way.
The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok is taking reservations for stays from 20 December 2026, and the operator's release of 3 August 2026 says it is scheduled to welcome guests from December 2026. It is set along the Chao Phraya River in the Bang Rak District and centres on Custom House, established in 1888 under King Rama V, which the release says is undergoing meticulous restoration. The address is 300 Trok Rong Phasi (Charoen Krung 36).
Custom House has a neo-Palladian design by architect Joachim Grassi, with teak floors, a grand central staircase and a four-story hallway. The 60 guestrooms and 15 suites will sit in a curvilinear new building next to it, designed by Smith Obayawat of OBA. The release calls Custom House “the grandfather” and the new building “the grandson”. Rooms will overlook courtyards, the Bangkok skyline or the river. The new building will also house a Chuan Spa and a fitness centre with Technogym's Sandstone collection, the first installation of its kind in Asia.
A 2024 release names three features for the hotel: an outpost of The Langham, Hong Kong's three-Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant, T'ang Court, a destination bar and a pastry outlet. The August 2026 release says a collection of dining, drinking and lifestyle destinations will be revealed in due course. Rabbit Holdings, an affiliate of BTS Group, announced the hotel with Langham Hospitality Group in 2024, and Langham was selected to operate it. The operator also lists private river journeys and chauffeured Bentley transfers.
The operator's wording, “The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok is now accepting bookings for stays from 20 December.”, was read on its own page and last checked 31 October 2026.
