The St. Regis Budapest opened in April 2026 inside Klotild Palace, a Neo-Baroque building commissioned at the turn of the 20th century by Princess Klotild of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and designed by Flóris Korb and Kálmán Giergl. It stands moments from the Danube. The palace was once the ceremonial entrance to Pest for travellers crossing the Elisabeth Bridge, and its 48-metre tower is adorned with enlarged replicas of Archduke Joseph Karl's crown.
The hotel has 63 rooms and 39 suites. Each room is designed as a private theatre box framed with city views, and the two-bedroom Presidential Suite extends over 169 square metres, with a private balcony and views of the Danube and the city, including the Elizabeth Bridge and the Citadella. The interiors follow the Danube's light, with hints of Secessionism and Art Nouveau and tilework inspired by the Hungarian baths.
The St. Regis Bar has a glass mural of the orchestra at the Hungarian State Opera House and serves bespoke cocktails, including The Crown Mary. 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant offers an omakase seasonal experience, and Klotild Patisserie serves Hungarian and French-Viennoiserie pâtisserie in a historic apothecary. The spa has an indoor pool, a traditional hammam and a Finnish sauna, with products from Sothys and Omorovicza.
