Opens in 2027

The Apurva Kempinski Ubud Bali is a planned resort of 160 rooms and villas on a south-facing ridge in central Bali, close to the rice terraces and coffee plantations of Tegalalang village. Kempinski gave 2027 as the opening year in a release dated 27 June 2023. The hotel's current page describes the resort but states no opening date, so the year is unconfirmed.

Rudy Dodo of the Jakarta studio Trivium Design Group leads the interior design and also takes responsibility for the architecture. Rooms and suites will start from 60 square metres, and the accommodation will include Cliff Villas with outdoor decks and private pools and six 200-square-metre villas in the forest. The rooms and villas are planned to cascade down the slopes of the ridge.

The resort will have an infinity pool, a rooftop lounge and bar, a Balinese spa and a specialty restaurant serving food from across the Indonesian archipelago. A tropical aviary at the heart of the resort will house exotic birds from Indonesia and beyond, including the critically endangered Bali mynah, known as the Jalak.

It will be Kempinski's second resort in Bali, after The Apurva Kempinski Bali, which opened in 2019. The developer is PT. Panorama Indah Dewata.

The operator's wording, “When it opens in 2027”, was read on its own page and last checked 31 October 2026.
