Opens in Q3 2027
LXR Hotels & Resorts Gold Coast is anticipated to open in the third quarter of 2027, according to Hilton's release of October 29, 2026. In March 2026 Hilton said the hotel would welcome guests from early 2027, so the date has moved back.
The building is the former Palazzo Versace Gold Coast, which was operating as The Imperial Hotel when Hilton announced the signing on March 2, 2026. Its owner, Islander Hotel Trading Pty Ltd, describes a comprehensive refurbishment that preserves the hotel's design heritage. Hilton calls it the brand's first property in Australia.
It has 200 rooms and sits on the Southport Spit with direct access to the Broadwater, near Marina Mirage. Hilton describes grand neoclassical architecture with Italian-inspired interiors.
