Alila Mayakoba opened in February 2026 inside the Mayakoba enclave on Mexico's Riviera Maya, on the site formerly occupied by Andaz Mayakoba. Hyatt and RLH Properties, the ownership group behind Mayakoba, announced the opening together. It is the Alila brand's debut in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The resort covers 60 acres of beachfront, lagoon and jungle and has 182 guestrooms, suites and villas, with pools woven through mangroves. Nearly 40 percent of the guestrooms are suites, including a beachfront Presidential Suite. The lagoon side holds guestrooms, pools, dining venues and the spa, which Hyatt describes as the quieter, more contemplative side. Beachfront guestrooms along a stretch of white sand are described as more relaxed and family-friendly.

Huber Design did the interiors, using tzalam, parota and rosa morada hardwoods, hand-chiseled Mérida limestone and recuperated travertine. There are six dining venues: Alisio Beach Club, Casa Amate, Chef's Atelier El Huerto (12 seats, led by Executive Chef Michael Grau), Na Cocina Local, Ninguno Taqueria and Xiim Bar, which sits beside the Alila Cenote.

Spa Alila at Mayakoba builds its treatments around living Mayan traditions and the Tzolk'in calendar. The Alila Moments program includes Earth and Clay, Winds of Renewal and the Ixchel Water Blessing.
